It's not even worth it!

So a friend wrote to us in need of dire help...

I am writing about a completely idiotic experience that I encountered today. I have recently changed apartments, and my previous lease will be up tonight at midnight (it's August 31st, in case you're reading this). We moved out of this old apartment almost three weeks ago, and despite my best efforts to get out of it, still not only had to pay the entire month of August, but are bound to September and October rent as well since we didn't provide 60 days WRITTEN notice. (Upon further reflection, maybe I'M the idiot...). They found someone to rent the apartment starting tomorrow (which means we get out of September & October...phew), but she wants to move in today. So our landlord calls us today at 12:00 and says that she feels
bad about sticking us with the full month, but if we bring back our keys right away she'll reimburse us the prorated amount for what's left of the month. Umm...that's 12 hours. I did the math. That would be $32.26. My boyfriend even asked if she meant half of today. She said yes. Crazy bee-atch, that wouldn't even cover our gas to get down there and back out to Pewaukee in the middle of the freaking day. WTF?

Ideas for her on how to handle such stupidity. Me personally, I would tell her to blow it out her asshole, but that's just me! Anyone else have a better idea? Help her out!
